Hughes Memorial Tower A 2 .5-story memorial tower located in Hughes, Arkansas, the Hughes Memorial Tower was erected in 1926 to honor the memory of Thomas Hughes, the founder of the town. The tower stands at a height of 85 feet and is constructed of brick and concrete. It is topped with a metal cupola and features a bell, which is rung each year on the anniversary of Hughes" death. The tower also serves as a landmark for the town and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
